Terms & Conditions
Orders
We welcome orders from across the Greater Geelong region and further afield on request. Orders are requested at least one week in advance and can be placed through our online order form. Within 24 hours of submitting your order, you should receive an email response from us confirming we have capacity to take on your order and how to make payment. Please note that your order is not confirmed until you have paid the 50% deposit.
All our cakes are home-made, and slight variations in appearance from our advertised photos may occur from time to time, particularly for cakes that incorporate seasonal fruits. If significant changes are required to your cake for any reason, we will contact you to discuss.
Payment
Following confirmation we have capacity for your order, we will email you an invoice (which includes the 50% deposit) for your order through Square. Online payment through Apple and Google Pay, or by Visa, Mastercard, JCB and American Express are all available. Please ensure you pay the 50% deposit to confirm your order within 48 hours of receiving your invoice, otherwise your order quote will be void and we may offer the timeslot to another customer. The remaining 50% is due prior to delivery/pick up. For pick up orders, please let us know if you would like to pay at the door via card payment only. Orders for delivery will not be dispatched until full payment has been received.
Operating Hours
Our cakes are currently available for delivery or collection from South Geelong between 9am and 5pm on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. During school holiday periods, we often can cater to additional days as well. Zuckerhaus is currently a part-time venture for Nick, and we have limited cake bookings each week. If we are at capacity when your order request comes in, we will let you know and provide alternative suggestions if your cake need is time sensitive. If your cake needs fall outside our usual operating hours, we encourage you to get in touch at least two weeks in advance to see if we can make your request work.
A delivery or collection window will be provided to you with confirmation of your order. We kindly request that you let us know as soon as possible if you are running late or are unable to collect/accept delivery at that time. For deliveries, we will contact you when we are on route to your delivery address. If no one is available to accept the delivery and we are unable to contact you after five minutes, your order will be forfeited.
For collections, we will contact you on the day of your order collection. If your order has not been collected more than four hours after the end of the window and we have been unable to contact you, your order will be forfeited.
Cancellations & Refunds
Sometimes life gets in the way, even of enjoying cake! If you need to make any changes to your order, particularly regarding the date you require it, or if you need to cancel your order completely, please email us at nick@zuckerhaus.com.au at least 48 hours in advance of the agreed delivery/collection time. Cancellations received more than 48 hours in advance are eligible for a full refund. If you need to cancel between 48 and 24 hours before the agreed delivery/collection time, then we can only offer a 50% refund. Forfeited orders less than 24 hours in advance are ineligible for a full or part refund.
If we need to cancel your order for unforeseeable reasons, we will provide you with a full refund.
Allergens
Please note that all our cakes are made in a kitchen that utilises common allergens (peanuts, tree nuts, milk, eggs, sesame seeds, fish and shellfish, soy, lupin and wheat). While every effort is made to prevent cross-contamination, we cannot 100% guarantee that our products will be free from traces of these allergens. If you have an allergy, please indicate this on your order request. If you have any questions relating to allergens or the dietary modifications we can offer, please contact us.
Cake Storage
All our cakes contain cream or other dairy products and need to be stored in the refrigerator upon delivery/collection and should be consumed within three days.
We recommend cutting our cakes with a clean, heated knife soon after removing from the refrigerator for neat and easy serving. Some of our cakes may be suitable for freezing - please contact us at nick@zuckerhaus.com.au if you would like to check if your cake is suitable to be frozen.
If your cake is to be displayed at an event, please ensure it is kept out of direct sun, rain and warm temperatures. At room temperature, please ensure the cake is consumed within four hours.
