Storage

All our cakes contain cream or other dairy products and need to be stored in the refrigerator upon delivery/collection and should be consumed within three days.

After serving, refrigerate any leftover cake that has been out of the fridge for less than two hours. Any cake that has been at room temperature for between two and four hours, should be consumed immediately and not returned to the fridge. If leftover cake has been at room temperature for more than four hours, it should be discarded.

Baked goods without fillings can be stored at room temperature. These are best enjoyed fresh on the day they are made.

Serving Advice

We recommend removing your cake from the fridge 30 – 45 minutes before serving to allow it to come to room temperature. For best results, cut the cake with a clean, warmed knife. If your cake is to be displayed at an event, please ensure it is kept out of direct sun, rain and warm temperatures.

The image below sets out how many portions our cakes can provide. This is intended as a guide, and may differ depending on the type of cake and how accurately it is cut.

Our standard round cake size (20cm (8in)) will serve 16 traditional slices (~4cm x 10cm triangular slice).

Some of our taller cakes may be suitable to cut into smaller slices (dessert portion - 2.5cm x 5cm, coffee portion - 2.5cm x 2.5cm), which can yield between 24 and 45 slices. Please contact us before ordering to confirm whether the cake you are considering can be cut into dessert or coffee portions.

Our large 25cm square cakes will serve 50 dessert portions (2.5cm x 5cm) or up to 100 coffee portions (2.5cm x 2.5cm).
